Jamaica in the 1960’s and 1970s saw the rise in musical fame of sound engineers who would “remix” instrumental tracks adding primitive sound effects and creating brand new songs. These innovative mixing techniques and new sounds became known as dub and laid the ground work for much of the DJ culture of today. Tune into a dub dance party as we parade through many of these legendary producers such as King Tubby, Joe Gibbs, Herman Chin-Loy, Lee Perry, Coxsone Dodd, and King Jammy just to name a few. Dub it to the top!
