Lee Scratch Perry died on 8/29/2021 in Lucea, Jamaica. He was 85. A legendary and innovative producer he mentored Bob Marley into a superstar and created the first ever dub album. From the mid 1970s he produced hit after hit from his legendary Black Ark studio in Kingston including critically acclaimed records with artists such as the Heptones, Junior Byles, Max Romeo and the Congos.
